Worthless qualification. Sorry!
It’s kept a roof over my head for 40+ years! That’s reasonably worthwhile IMO.

Which part of the country do you live?
Being an HGV 1/2 driver doesn’t pay much more than a general shop assistant, where hourly rate is concerned. You might earn more in a week than a shop assistant by being an HGV driver, but how is that clever when you’re working 20 hours more■■?
There’s HGV 1 drivers out there, not earning much more than the minimum wage. It’s pathetic!

When the examiner said “I’m pleased…” He didn’t have to finish the sentence. The relief and happiness was already starting to loosen the tension that had built up in my body during my test.Did my test in Petes big red arctic and I’m so glad I did. I can now fully understand and respect why people choose to take the wag and drag option to do class 1 but for me it had to be an arctic.
As was the case when I passed class 2 I can’t thank PSTT enough and especially Tim who took me from zero experiance to passing both first time.
Right…a few beers then off to the outback to join Steve grahame in the billa bong
I notice this thread’s gone off on a bit of a tangent, just wanted to say well done mate. I passed class 2 on the same day so a good day for Dans.
Well done, Dan.
Dan.

Internet trolls are pathetic. You obviously enjoy dumping on people’s achievements so I can only say stick a screwdriver up your arse and turn yourself up to 12

Big up the Evils! (Nope that doesn’t really work )
I’m intrigued to know if this overload of Dan’s are all of a similar age… Sad I know, but that’s me!
I don’t know, “big up the evils” could catch on
This Dan is 44 and by the way good luck for your cat c test tomorrow.

28 matey
Think I’m still missing a Dan, or maybe 2…
But so far, no correlation, and can’t think of anything obvious that promoted the choice of name Dan. Which means so far guys, you’re freaks of nature!
(Sorry, the clue is in my name! )

I’m 36 and I figured it for an age thing at first as there were three Dans in my class at school - but your experiment hasn’t supported this theory. Oh well!
Woohoo well done Dan

I thought the young lady incident would come up. I was harsh on her to shock her. Maybe she has no dad or he is unaware pf what she is about to do but I was giving her a rough time because everyone else was meekly saying go for it. This young woman has a place in University and a chance to have a great life with a worthwhile career. She is on the verge of tossing that aside to drive a flipping truck (class 2) as she liked it. Sorry but I stand by everything I said to her and I bet she do it anyway but she is makig a life mistake if she gives up university for this lot.
I don’t know the girl, but all I can say from my experience is that having been to uni. after being a driver for so many years and now seeing so many graduate these days, there will come a time (and it is already happening) that real workers will be very scarce. The country does not need more graduates, it needs more workers to keep industry and commerce going. In fact there are so many graduates now that most end up working in supermarkets if they don’t make the 2:1 or above grade or don’t commit to teaching. If she is happy being a worker (driver) let her do something useful in life (there’s no shame in it at all) other than joining the tens of thousands of sausage factory students who think that they are above others, when in fact they’re up to their eyeballs in student debt (like me).
Having a degree used to mean something, but having an HGV and some experience is worth more in this work shy society.
