CLASS 1— birmingam
Nice one fella.
congrats!
did they offer straight away or did you do an assessment etc?
Congrats man. It can be hard for new passes to get a job but I have always said the jobs are there if you are willing to look hard enough. Well done. Took me 8 months but 2 hrs is something else!
Enjoy life as an artic driver
Well done mate… Now the learning begins!!!

Good to see a firm giving a newbie a chance and showing them the ropes. Going out on the job with an experienced driver is a valuable opportunity. Make sure you ask the guy you go out with plenty of questions and watch like a hawk what he does when manoeuvring and reversing.
Yes i will but im still shaking!!!
Nice one. I remember that feeling of being completely over the moon. It felt like a big life achievement. Good luck with the job bud.
Bloody hell that was quick, it took me about 6 months before I got my first run and another 6 months until the second
Well done
Thumbs Up!
Good work fella
It was about 7 months after I passed my test until I got a call out of the blue from an agency, trip to north whales if I remember correctly.
scariest night of my life as I’d only ever driven an artic whilst learning seven months earlier, so I had to put myself into the deep end and just go and do the job, of course I had no idea how to get to my destination, or reverse (got lucky on my test), or to even drive the truck to be honest
I somehow got through it all unscathed, though I do recall taking 35 minutes to reverse straight onto a bay
Strangely reversing is one of the things I’m good at now, but in my early days I just didn’t get it!
Nice one Joker, love to know though, who gave you such a break as I work for a few companies in Kent via the agency I’m with. Not looking for permanent work, but never know, might bump into you.
Bloody hell well done fella .
Nice one buddy and welcome to the club!
I was lucky too, I was promised my start before I’d even trained in a class 1 on the basis I passed. There are some companies willing to give you that start.
I think i deserved some fireworks where they gone? Lol
Can never be certain what type has been passed in so here are both …
