My advice would be to hit a couple of agencies IN PERSON.
Get some experience under your belt.
Driving in the commercial world is a lot different to the laid back lessons.
Try a few local transport companies and see if they are looking for someone.
Be prepared for knockbacks with the usual ‘2 years experience’ line.
Hopefully you get lucky.

What’s DRs Gaz? The only suggestions I can give are to be enthusiastic in your job hunting! The more companies you contact, the nearer you’ll get to that job. Also try a post on the main drivers forum, not sure how many visit here.
DR’s is the biggist hauler on the island they’ve said ave just gotta wait me turn 
No agency on the island unfortunatly but gunna speak and see any 1 wiyh a wagon

sorry mate DR Macloud, was real hung over this mornin
mostly on the island but they are based in inverness glasgow and aberdeen aswell as the western isle’s
So might be able to mve back to mainland if a get in with them
