@Franglais…How tf is he playing ME personally for a mug exactly?

Btw…your hatred for this guy is becoming more difficult to hide…calm down ffs.

Johnsons lies, and the spin of his supporters, have got you repeating his deceits. Politicos "are all the same" etc. You keep on believing that and youll keep getting more of them.
The UK has had problems, but so many? so often? No.
(As a note: it is about Johnson and not his party nor Brexit. There are plenty of honourable people in the Tory party, but few around the PM)

I confess… I really do dislike liars and hypocrites… it seems to be a character failing of mine.
Basically I do give a ■■■■.

Im sure Im not unique either, in spite of the loud posting of those who are proud to “not give a toss”, many people do quietly care and try to do “the right thing” rather than shout about how tough and uncaring they are.

Sorry, to any lying, cheating, selfish, shysters who may be a little offended by my tone.
I will try to make them feel very offended in the future.

You don’t have to be tough to be laid back and not give a toss…where tf did you get that one from.
So just to reiterate…you are right I don’t give a toss.
As I said…calm yourself down man. :stuck_out_tongue:

Was it not the civil servants who made up the majority of the party…and as most of them are socialist shysters on the sly, have they perhaps set Johnson up?

Seriously who gives a toss? Apart from Franglais and Jake I doubt there are very few on here who haven’t broken the rules yes it is a mess of his own making and would have gone away had he fessed up at the start, but when you see people crying ion TV saying their relative died while the party was going on :unamused: , do they believe if there was no party their relative would still be alive? Who knows perhaps their relative was breaking the rules when they caught covid how ironic ?
Franglais do you want to call the PSNI and instigate an investigation against me for having more than 30 guests at my wedding or perhaps ■■■■■■■ police to report RR’s illegal Christmas gathering, but before doing so are you 100% sure not one of your relatives has broken a covid rule, hypocrisy seems to be in large supply while the supply of common sense has all but disappeared

Youre always good for a laugh ! You are getting upset about any any hypocrisy you *imagine* I or others have. But Johnson? Gets rid of advisor (not law maker) because of liason with one other person. And Hancock, a law maker, but again one other person. Stratton goes although she never went to any party. Then, after he is found out to have been to multiple parties, and he still doesnt even admit any truth until after evidence is provided, he clings on to his position…you cant see nor condemn the hypocrisy there? Thank You. Really. Youve done well to bring a smile (albeit a sad one) on this dull day.

Who gives a toss? Well, I do.
I imagine ,many other citizens do too.
In my world most people do give a toss. Most aren`t out of the same selfish mould as the PM.

At least I know how to have a laugh don’t recall calling you a hypocrite clearly stated that I believe you will have followed all the rules 100% throughout this. Again I said he should have sorted this out and fessed up at the start and yes he has acted hypocritically never said he hadn’t, you really should read what people write.
There are plenty out there taking umbrage who will have broken the rules so hypocrites, Keir Starmer doesn’t think the PM should get a knighthood because of his behaviour a fair point and one I’d agree with yet he thinks Blair should a man whose lies have implicated the UK in over a million deaths in the Middle East and still rising should so lie about a party no knighthood, lie to parliament and involve the UK in many deaths knighthood all ok.
Spare us the crocodile tears Starmer is just using this for political capital as would any opposition party and there are bigger things to be getting on with rather than 1 or 2 year old events which in the scheme of things didn’t cause one death.

Have you a link to prove this ? Have you the voting record of all London based civil servants? How dare you make such wild accusations

Just putting it out there. Based on the theory that every civil servant I have ever talked to, or seen in the media is a guardian reading leftie, then odds are No10 is full of them.

Take umbrage at your comments, I was a civil servant for eight years, my wife was in the CS for 34 years and I can quite assure you neither of us would be seen dead reading the Guardian. We both worked in the regions but for central government departments and most of the people we worked with were decent, normal hard working souls, even the majority of the management. Yes there was the odd Bolshie union rep, usually the younger ones, but they very often got put back in their box.

Apologies Tyneside, you do rather sound like the exception to me though. I do know a few civil servants and they, like all their colleagues, came out of uni as fervent lefties. Hardly surprising when 80% of lecturers are left wing.
This is the situation in Downing Street. Ministers are surrounded by young graduates, not picked by them, and they are up to their necks in student debt, and living in an overpriced room in London, whilst receiving a rather modest wage, having come through the same indoctrination as my friends. So, I would guess that a large proportion of the staff in govt is left wing. ■■■■■■■■ knew the nature of the problem. Unfortunately the Tories seem to be embracing big govt for now, so Whitehall and Downing St staff get a reprieve. That will not stop the leaks and mischief making though.

No need apologise you are entitled to your opinion.
What you say May be the case in the upper echelons of the service as in Downing St etc but we worked in different parts of the service up here in the north east and it was basically processing documents and applications from the public. I worked with people from all walks of life, young kids just out of school / sixth form, a retired police inspector, retired fireman and a couple of ex squaddies who had seen action in Northern Ireland. There was also a couple of lads in their early twenties who had scientific degrees but they were the exception. One of the union reps was an ex pitman. The pay was never brilliant but it was clean work with decent conditions, flexitime and a sure fire pension scheme. As previously stated 99% were just honest everyday family folk wanting to earn a living, there might have been some fervent lefties there but I certainly was not aware of them.

The laws broken we`re laws made up to inconvenience party goers or to make wine and cake a crime.
They were there to cut down mixing of people and slow the spread of Covid. They were there to save lives.

You cannot say with any honesty that the parties "didnt cause one death". If you stop to examine that statement for one second you will see how utterly stupid it is. How can you possibly know who at those parties transmitted the virus around? You Cant!

Half a seconds thought will show that more mixing means more spread and more deaths.
Anything else is denying what the majority of us (outside of fantasy land) know as a simple truth.

After I gave up on the driving I managed to secure employment where I worked, every working day, with civil servants from government, police and the forces, for 38 years. So I have met a good few and, also, a good few politicians. Most were good people, many extremely brilliant people, many (mostly politicians) educated idiots. The latter got in to their jobs by persuading electors to put them there-an example would be Boris. They, unlike civil servants generally, did not need to meet any particular educational or vocational standard to be elected. Just the gift of the gab.

If you took just a few minutes to read replies to your posts you might save yourself getting so worked up and agitated.

I am not any form of expert in Covid.
I am not any form of expert in maths.
Because I listen to maths teachers I KNOW that 2 plus 2 makes 4.
Because I listen to Covid experts I KNOW that close social mixing increases spread of infection.
Because of those experts I KNOW that extra cases means extra deaths.
If you think otherwise than that, it is a sign of your ignorance, not my arrogance.

If you are ignorant that can be due to different causes.
Maybe you have never been told the facts.
Maybe the facts have been offered to you but choose not to see them.
The first is true for all of us.
The second is reserved for the stupid.

Again, you say I am afraid.
Nonsense. I say that Covid is a serious virus.
I say that because I listen to experts.
Recognising a risk is not the same as being frightened of it.

Boris , despite his shortcomings, was voted in by the electorate. His educational status is irrelevant really, as long as he can do the job. If he can’t, then he will be voted out. Its called a liberal democracy.
Unfortunately, we can’t vote out what Dominic ■■■■■■■ called the ‘blob’.
The heavily unionised and incalcitrant civil service that hampers every effort at reform.
Who do you think marches through our city centres with their socialist worker placards at every opportunity? It most certainly isn’t workers from the private sector.
You and others trying to paint a picture of dedication and impartiality from civil servants have obviously not tried to get a d/licence, passport or a doctors appointment recently. The civil service will do its utmost to make the current govt look bad, for entirely ideological reasons.

But I do not recognise civil servants as fervent lefties.

You protest too much, and your political affiliation is all too obvious.

Protest? What protest?
I have no political affiliations. None whatsoever. I speak as I find.
As for the rest of your piece it is full of flaws. Who has been in control of the government (controlling passport and driver’s licence issuance and the NHS) for the last decade? Fervent lefties?
You are not related to Carryfast are you? He often writes similarly flawed posts too.
