Motorway services will always be full and tricky to park up by 9pm. Your next best bet is an industrial estate or a lay-by if you’re desperate
There are plenty of jobs where you aren’t expected to work a 15 hour day.

You should also have ‘‘decided’’ to do 13 hour max days and not be pushed into 15s which are NOT compulsory believe it or not… 
Then you would have been parked up around 7 !!!

Excited, despite giving them my mobile landline and email details they failed to call me back after a 15 minute ‘we’re crying out for drivers’ conversation last year.

To be the fair there’s a lot in the job that gives drivers stuff to moan about. Why should anyone work more than 12 hours unless it’s they want to? Why should anyone park without facilities unless they want to? Why should anyone do more nights away from home than what they want? Yes haulage companies have a business to run but drivers are human being that have life’s and families and maybe hobbies away from the job.

Maybe you can have a word with your err…‘‘planners’’ to plan you for a 13 hour day as a routine,.and for 15 hour days only to be used for unforseens, and/or a ‘‘get out of jail free’’ card…in fact the way the system is/was intended.
And if they still persist in taking the ■■■■…
Maybe you can have a word with the Tesco rdc guy, teliing him your time is up shortly and you will be pulling out on 12hrs 45 ish to find a parking place tipped or not.
Your problem there is you then get drivers at the other end of the scale who go in office moaning when last week they didn’t do 3 full 15s and as close to 13 as possible the other 2 days because they want to max hours. I think the planners get confused who wants what

Good point, you’ve got ■■■■ clowns who would run 24 hours if they were allowed to.
One of the reasons the job is ■■■■ ed,.and why most of us are running at same rate right through.
Drivers are a strange breed.
