Parking treviso

I’m on my way over to a new drop for us just north of treviso place called vittorio venetto??
and i wondered if anyone knew of any decent parking near abouts, should get there sat night if no traffic problems, thanks in advance

you could always park at
Tronchetto 30173
Venezia
Then get the water taxi into Venice, not a bad spot for the weekend if the weather is nice, the only trouble is there are no showers around, but a good place to park none the less
the nearest truck park to Vittotio Veneto is
Servizio Autoparco Veneto -
Tangenziale Enrico Mattei - 14/D
Portogruaro
Venezia 0421 276795
it is about 40km away, It has restaurant, secure parking, showers, etc, but I don’t know if it is open weekends.
look at this I know it is for 2007, but most entrys will still be right :grimacing:

cheers jimti good idea for sunday in venice :grimacing: :grimacing: :exclamation:

just one thing thoughs charged per hour and isn’t cheep, I can’t remember price, but it is at least as bad as Coslada :open_mouth:

Jimti,Fred is still trading in the block of offices and flats, and parking is free, last time i was there,he said the Coslada council were giving him grief for HGV parking, but it is free,by the circus grounds, good Chinese restaurants in Coslada, and fast tube/train or bus to Madrid centre,Fred speaks about ten languages.

Welshboy, dont forget to try some real Italian icecream,a seafood pizza, the size of a steering wheel. And Lavaza coffee.

I’ve popped down there a few times myself, it was a while ago, so can’t remember where exactly, but I was parked up in a coach park, there was a camp/caravan site locally, went there for a shower. Venice is well worth a visit, enjoy…

when going to Venice everyone tends to want to see St Marks squareby al means do so but do not even think about buying a coffee or a beer on the square itself you will need to take out a mortgage for the privilege :unamused: when approaching from the main canal in the top right hand corner of the square you will see one small alley going right and another one going straight on just walk about10-20 yardsup either of these and you will get coffe, beer and food at normal prices.

For anyone that doesn’t know you just drive as far as you can towards Venice, you can’t go too far as there are no roads in Venice itself.
then you park on the “Isola nuova Del Tronchetto” that is also where you get the boats into Venice itself. I recommend buying a day ticket (24 hours) and while you are touring about pop over to the other island (Lido) and get to the glass factories if they are open.

Forgive me for butting in,but aren’t the glass factories on Murano?

 Oops, yes you are of course right…My mistake

Another interesting fact about Venice, it has no streets so no street names so every address is just a number, it makes it easy to identify places, you can of course get maps for the City, and the allyways have names.
For the sports go to the Inishark Sky Sports just off the boat, but later at night the late boats don’t stop there so you have to walk a bit to another stop for a boat home.

Good advice from Vas there.A couple on a coach trip I took to Venice ignored this very same advice and had a coffee overlooking the Grand Canal. They queried the bill for approx.£7/coffee(forget how many lire-€ makes you lazy)They were told by the manager that the coffee was £1.50 each, but the view of the Grand Canal accounted for the difference :open_mouth:
