Parking options M6 Lancaster to skelmersdale

Good evening all,

Got my jobs for tomorrow which will be a night out, I have tried searching for Snap parking options along the M6 between Lancaster (maybe Kendal if traffic bad) and Wigan, which I think I will probably get between depending on traffic.

Snap parking search indicates one at Skelmersdale but I think this might be a bit of a push to get to so looking for decent options between the aforementioned locations (Lancaster and Wigan type area, but maybe as north as Kendal)

Can anyone recommend somewhere reasonably quiet and secure where I won’t lose a filler cap and a load of diesel!?

Many thanks in advance.

Carnforth truckstop.

Truck Haven Google Search

Carnforth just of j 35.
If don’t get that far you have tebay / Westmorland just off j 38. I’d head for j35 use tebay as last resort as over the years it’s become a bit upmarket like a farm shop..they do a decent breakfast. From memory other meals wernt the best. Saying that been a few years since had night out there.
Don’t think Skelmersdale truck stop is that big used to deliver to essity and stop there for my break.
Not overly big so unless you can reserve a space on snap you might struggle to get in if arriving late

Thanks very much, further digging after I put my post up indicated that car forth truck haven was there and do snap!

I worked out of carnforth t/stop for 2 week , gave me a car to travel up in from Newark , bloody long way on a Monday , home on a Friday , last Friday comming home I got to Harrogate I believe Whalen I remembered I’d left my sat nav in the windscreen of the lorry ( why don’t you remember when your in the lorry ) , got back at nigh on midnight I believe after turning round & going back for it .

This was after a agency driver smashed my lorry up , so they came up with the idea of me doing holiday cover out of other depots , they wanted me originally to do Carlisle :flushed_face::roll_eyes::roll_eyes:, though carforyh wasn’t much better

I tried that Snap place at Skelmersdale and it was rammed. But there’s a nice side-road before it on the left (before you turn right) that’s been ok the dozen or two times I used it. Kinda noisy on the weekend from all the boy-racer types though.
