Anyone know if theres any decent places to park near Machynlleth. Just for overnight, preferably not a narrow layby,(dont mind one thats away from the road)
Doesnt have to be near full facilities although better if it is. I can self cater if I have to.
Lots of wide lay-bys in that part of the world, although I can think of no specific ones. Not much use am I!

Yeah thanks for that Luke
We got a regular (at least 10 load a week) run from Crewe to Cardigan. Normally we run via Llangurig but since the roadworks have been in place there we tried various routes, not mush difference timewise in any of them. Occasionally we’ll leave Crewe after doing another run and have about 3 hours driving left. Just looking for somewhere different to park up instead of Aberystwyth or Aberaeron.

There is an industrial estate on the left after you come past the junction where the clock is in Machynleth, you might be able to park up in there.
Cheers Dave, I’ll keep an eye out for that next week if I’m down that way.
If you pass the railway station heading south. At the clock turn left and down there on the right is an industrial estate. I think its opposites a chippy and before it goes up to the 40 limits. However. A lot has changed in the last few years. Failing that if you continue south there are a few long laybys and past Furnace are some deep pullins under the trees. Good luck
If your heading through aberaron you can park on the public carpark on the seafront overnight, our lads did do for years until they stopped having nights out, with in walking distance of the town for chips and a swift pint.

Treowain Enterprise Park, I used to park there regularly, very peaceful and quiet.
ckm1981…Ive parked there myself a few times, nice in the summer right on the beach, can be a bit wild in the winter time though. Also the local chavs like trying to do donuts on that car park…well up til about 10 when their mums want them in
Mr.Monk / Dented…Thanks for that I’ll look out for the Enterprise Park next time I’m through there.
