Parking in Wales

Looking for some advice I am delivering to the Dawn Group at Cross Hands in Wales was wondering if it is possible to park up in the food park overnight or if there is anywhere close by.

Yes, you can park on it, up on the top road by Leekes builders merchant is quiet, there’s a McCrap outlet there at the western end and a co-op.

i stopped there once but the boy racers where knocking about till 00.30.
last time i went i got my tea at mc.d and about 1/4 mile at most heading back to swansea there is a very large setback layby with a cafe of some sort in it (dont know the opening times) . ive parked there and had no probs, and a little bit further on is a gap so you can turn around so your facing back towards cross hands again. would,nt try it if the road was busy though

Thanks for your help gents.

ive seen a few trucks parked outside the dawn group gates the lads on the gate seem reasonable to me they may let you stop inside

you can park on the cross hands industrial estate, but it wont be quiet, youll be awaken to the sound of a 1.2 corsa thrashing itself into oblivion.

Best place you can stop is JCT 46 M4, head for Penllergaer and theres a good place by the old midway cafe on the A48. Your about 10mins from the drop in cross hands.

Alternatively you can get closer by parking off the cross hands roundabout by the Aldi on the 1st exit heading, theres always nolan trucks parked here on the road towards the gym. Not far to the pub or for a bit to eat here.

ah well i finally managed to find my way to the kenfig ind estate between pyle & port talbot , where the old ORION sheds are. loads of room as the half the estate seems empty ! only the clarke trucks run out & a security building in the middle . so i parked there with fuel tank on their side , as keep seeing the diesel thieves about on the matrix , they probably wouldn’t do anything but it’s certainly a deterent or of course the layby just before the m4 at least they got loo’s but i never sit just hover

Couldn’t help noticing that one of those signs doesn’t display the diesel theft message, and curiously enough it’s the one which would be visible from a certain place down below the viaduct on the west-bound.

Surely they’re not scared of offending a repressed minority?

Think they alternate, Welsh then English then Welsh etc.

Next time you’re up our way, look out for a Countrywide 6-wheeler curtainsider; it’s me!
