Off to Scotland this week and am looking for somewhere to park between kirkcudbright/girvan.Not been here before so dont even know if there are any decent laybys.
Plenty roadside and some deeper laybys on the A75,but this road can be busy day and night due to the Irish ferry’s docking at Stranraer. If your route takes you up the A714 take it easy this road is’nt the best but there are several laybys suitable for an overnight. If you make it as far as Girvan you have 2 options, 1st is a deep layby on the A77 about 500 yards south of the A714 junc. 2nd is the harbour, follow the A77 north into the town when you get to the t,junc with the harbour in front of you turn left ,plenty room to park with pub and chip shop nearby. hope this of help .
