it’s like they park up and thats it. they don’t care as long as they’ve got their space.
did a good 1 last night in a lay by on the 66. there was room for 3 artics but only 2 was using the space so I dropped trailer at front of layby and then parked unit between the 2 others. should of heard them @ 6am this morning when they couldn’t get out. they banged on door and got abusive so I called old bill and they were still there with the police when I left @ 8 am.
I get fed up with these idiots parking as they please.
just budge up its not hard.
OK . picture it fellas.
There is room at the front to get a trailer and unit in, as is shown by Lizard getting the trailer in to drop it.
He then parks the unit between the two artics and blocks “both” of them in.
Strange how the rear artic didn’t have room to back up and get out.
He could then drop his trailer and pull lizards trailer out of the way
And does any really believe that the plod wouldn’t have simply told him to move it or be done for obstruction/ behaviour likely to cause a breach of the peace/ etc etc

Thanks for posting that, I haven’t been to a supermarket RDC waiting room today and I get withdrawal symptoms if I have to go too long without listening to some “lorry driver ■■■■■■■■”

Instead of blaming drivers for parking in lay bys why not have a pop at the government who do not supply sufficient affordable parking areas that have amenities, are safe and crime free. (Just a thought like).

Why is it up to the government to provide parking for trucks? As it’s been put on he before when there is parking most drivers think they should not pay so stay in your layby.

Are these drivers that keep shunting down in the middle of the night serious? They obviously don’t work hard enough as when my card is pulled and my curtains are closed I’m out like a light. If I’m up or on a break I will shunt down but doing it at 8,9,10 o clock at night after you clocked off and in bed then its tough ■■■■.
People need to chill, I hardly ever sleep in lay bys anyway by choice, local industrial estate, customers yard, or truck stop for me.

It affects me cos I don’t see why I should pay extortionate MSA prices to not be reimbursed! It doesn’t bother me that my company doesnt pay, just bothers me MSA’s are allowed to get away with it! It wouldn’t be too bad if their facilities were up to scratch, but that’s off topic hey?

I move my truck regular when overnighting, no card in, been stopped by vosa who say no prob cos it’s only a yard or two. somedays it’s cos of tv pic then a more peaceful nights kip. an sometimes it is just to make more room in laybye etc

Shunt up and down all you like, but don’t come on here whining when VOSA or the TC pulls you in for not taking sufficient rest.
If someone wants me to move during a rest period, tough ■■■■■! I sleep naked, there is no way I am going to get up dressed and pull my curtains just to let another lorry or cafe owner park up, if there isn’t room, there isn’t room.
