Hey guys
I just wondered if anyone new of any free and relatively safe parking spots in or around Doncaster/Scunthorpe.
I’m around that area today so any help/advice will be greatly received.

If your willing to pay, if its not too far off route, no doubt everyone will recomend the Stockyard truckstop. M18 J1.

Preferably free, I’m in Doncaster at the moment but doing Scunthorpe/immingham tomorrow. I was gonna go to the stock yard but with the great tracker in the sky the gaffer doesn’t like us going going to far out of our way for parking ;(
North end of The North Bridge, turn left and then right where the entrance to the prison is, there’s a small industrial estate by the side of a bike shop. Short walk over the bridge and you’re in town. Never overnighted there as it’s on my door step but I’ve parked up during the day for long periods.
Come off M180 at J3 onto M181,to the end and right at roundabout,left at next roundabout over the one in front of u,they park up there if your early enough. Tesco,pub and pizza place within a minutes walk. Failing that back to the roundabout at end of motorway and turn right(Tesco will be on your right) continue over next one up the hill,over roundabout and left at the next one(carsales on right of roundabout). Carry on to next roundabout(Speedway track on right) turn left and they park on wasteland on the right. Are other places on that Industrial Estate if you cant use that.
You could try foxhills in scunthorpe , its sign posted at the tesco roundabout .
If you park where the tesco’s is at the top of the 181 its a bit noisy at night , you get alot of idiots racing up and down gunness straight .
Failing that there is a nice big layby at the doncaster end of the A18 , its the turn off for the airport just after the roundabout .
Thanks for the replies guys, as with transport it’s all gone ■■■■ up now, gotta head to Ipswich ready for tomorrow but I’ll keep them in mind for when I’m next in the area
