Was going to put this in the forum for overnight parking but figured more people would probably see it in here than there! Had a ride through Diss tonight looking for somewhere to park but couldn’t really find anywhere I wasn’t going to cause an obstruction. There is one industrial estate I found but no roads off it really and the main drag was a through route so thought I best not risk getting a ticket! Anyone know of anywhere? cheers

just ask the locals. Can i park diss here?
turn by the shell garage and park at the bottom. no probs at all. the turning is just under or before the railway bridge depending which way you are coming.
marvellous thanks for the response. I did look down there but it dint look very likely and also didn’t know if I would get turned round at the bottom anywhere! Will try that in future.
you can find puddles of diss in any layby or lorry park

Being a Diss boy myself i would (go home) turn up vinces road, at the mini ■■■■■ next to the shell garage, take the last turning on the right, turn round between the units so youre facing back out again, and park on the right. If you park on vinces road where there are no double yellow lines you will get blocked in by cars as they park there to avoid paying car park fees to use the train.
Or… for a bit more space, go to the traffic lights at the end of Diss with a Desira Fiat garage on it, turn up there and park anywhere on that road before the mini roundabout.
Theres a few good sized lay-bys on the A143 Bury St Edmunds road.
If your going south down A140, turn into Roy Humphreys (you wont miss it!) and park on the left, lots of people park there, nice and quiet, and a tea van there in the morning.
