OK. Lets save the obvious answers as to where to part my big, white unit whilst in Amsterdam, but I am looking for some secure parking in or near the city. If its near the RAI exhibition and conference centre that would be even better.
Now I just need to think about what to do with myself for a week in the city

There is am industrial estate right next to the Coen tunnel, its only 4.0 as is normal, but me and a mate parked there and paid very little for a taxi.
We went to the ā ā ā Museum and met a dutch driver who bought some powder that meant you did not need to stop at traffic lights

Check the web site from the exbition,as they may have this infomation all ready posted,as this is what they normally do when holding a exbition,
there used to be a cracking bar on piet heinkade called āhet binnenhavenā with loads of parking and only 10 mins walk (or 15 mins stagger back) from the centraal station, but i went to hunt it out again about 2 years ago and all the old warehouses are now converted to loft apartments and the place has gone 
as malc says thereās the dock area round the south side of the coentunnel but i couldnāt vouch for how safe the truck would be there unattended?
If you take the turn off S102 off of the A10 Amsterdam ring and drop down on to the industrial area you will come to a traffic lights turn right and then 1st left and you can park on the car park of the pricy restaurant, the area is regularly patrolled by both police and private security guards. If you get lost just ask for the restaurant Coentunnel.

Take plenty of money - last time we had a weekend there the beer was Ć¢āĀ¬5 a time and the cheapest room we could get (weekend rates though) was Ć¢āĀ¬140 per night (double room)!!!
