Two nights running I did something I haven’t done in years, I paid parking fees. I was stuck both nights at the Flying J in Winchester VA having done 600 miles on both day’s I watched the damage being done by lunatics looking for spaces and actually called PIlot/ Flying J HQ to get reserved spots and keep out of harms way. $15.00 each night and the company doesn’t pay, I can however claim the amounts as tax rebates.
Cheaper than parking here is that Canadian dollars? If so that’s probably about a tenner so what do you get for that ? Probably a shower and a 3 course meal with a bottle of Bud thrown in for good measure.

I once used that reserved parking thing at the petro in Nashville knew I would struggle to get a space as I would be getting there at around 8pm on a Saturday. Quite a good idea really.
Also had to pay at a trucks top in baltimore but you got money back if you filled with fuel. Company orders to park there and await a call in the morning to go to the delivery point round the corner.
Can you park on industrial estates in America or is that dangerous with the amount of nutters carrying guns?
Where else can you park if not in truck stops?
