It was on the old northbound A1 before the motorway came and by-passed the village. I used to stop there all the time, I found it much better value than the Normanton Truckstop.
iirc there’s several weight limits in the area that make getting around a PITA

Boot and shoe, was another place, use to get a few local munters in there.
Was a good roast dinner in the Boot and Shoe, never used the pub it was a bit close to home
