Looks like I’ll be needing to get parked up in this area tomorrow night.
Not to familiar with this neck of the woods so any suggestions would great, cheers.
There is loads of indust estates in cramlington mate all good for parking depends which way you are coming up mate nelson industrial estate is big are you in a high motor cos lowish bridge at one side
I was in Nelson Ind estate Cramlington yesterday and there was plenty of places to park there but no facilities. Postcode is NE23 1WF
Who / where you delivering to / from?
I live in Cramlington…
Loading out of Northumberland College in Ashington late afternoon then heading south so Nelson way looks like a good shout.
Cheers lads.
Park anywhere in Cramlington industrial estate.
Maybe park on Nelson Way opposite ‘Admiral Business Park’, you should be fine there, as there’s a gate house for Admiral Park on Nelson Way.
Don’t bother trying to park around Ashington.
There’s no where really ‘safe’ IMO. And you’re only about 15 minutes away to the college…
Cramlington Ind Est is made up of a few smaller Ind Estates (Nelson, South Nelson, Barrington, Admiral etc). Numerous places to park, lots of space & theres also a few takeaways (Indian / Pizza / Kebabs etc) operating out of small units on the Ind Est. When leaving to travel to Ashington 5 min onto the spine road as its known locally (A189) which takes you directly to Ashington - approx 15/20 min total drive. Leave A1 northbound at A19/ Tyne Tunnel/ Cramlington turn off, stay in LH lane & take 2nd exit at the roundabout. Road narrows from 2 lanes into 1 & theres a speed camera approx 0.75m down the road. At roundabout go straight over (2nd exit) - low bridge if you turn left & take 1st exit. Past garage on left, take the 1st exit at roundabout (tightish corner / turn), continue to roundabout with Howdens in front of you slightly to the right. From there you can have a whizz round looking for a suitable parking space. The takeaways are few hundred yards from Howdens in small Ind Units. Hope that helps.
Has that boozer opened up again next to what used to be ‘The officer’s club’ warehouse.
Last time I made for it, parked there and it had closed down.
If it is open make for there mate, Sky sports there as well, afai remember, sorry can’t remember road name, but somebody on here may know it.
Flattened Rob.
There’s now a granny Farm on that site with a whole new housing estate behind it on the former Wilkinson factory that then became the officers club factory outlet…

Ah well, another decent park up spot gone.
I’m gonna stop giving guys parking info , my mate only the other week asked about parking in Colchester, I sent him to the one on Sheep Pen rd beside the retail park, he got there and it had been built on also.
Parking situation is deffo getting worse.
You could have a look into ‘The Brockwell Seam’, Cramlington…?
There’s a pub and takeaways there.
But not sure if you could get away with parking there.
The B&M store though, doesn’t close until 8pm, there’s is wee bit of road that leads to the rear of that store (only enough for one truck), and by the looks of it, the tarmac pavement looks like it’s been parked on in the past by ‘something heavy’…?
Wife thinks there’s CCTV there though - ‘that works against you’■■
Thanks again for the tips lads, Nelson way worked out fine.
Too late to be of any help, but do James’s at West Sleekburn (just off the A189) not still do overnight parking in their yard?
You still on for Obriens Simon?
That’s if you are the Simon I’m thinking king of…
Found some other parking for round here, for anyone looking in the future…
Don’t park in the enterprise park…
Park down the short dead end road off the roundabout, there was 2 parked there when I went past.
Near enough opposite the ‘Willow Farm’ Pub - can’t miss it, was lit up last night like it was Christmas…

Sorry, but I’m not the Simon you’re thinking of.
