Thanks!

The bare…
Minimum, it needs to be lit.
I’m sure there’s more regulations but, that’s the one that I remember.
It’s not something I’d do unless I absolutely had no choice.
A bit more information may help, are you talking about parking the trailer on an industrial estate or outside your house on a housing estate or what sort of situation?
Depending on the situation it may be as much about what you can get away with as what’s legal.
If you take the number plate off, how can they ticket you?
Assuming it’s not an obstruction and they remove it.

It all be on an industrial estate or a lay-buy. But should not cause an issue with other (we hope!)
They do require an MOT, but what about tax? What about insurance?
If you where to park a caravan or car trailer on the public highway with out being attached to a car. Then they consider this to be dumping and they usually issue with a 30 day notice to remove it. What about HGV trailers though
There’s artic trailers dumped in laybys on the A30 for years, one was only removed for the Queen’s funeral.
How often are you going to attend to them?

.
Chassis number. Don’t forget trailers have a unique chassis number and have a MOT.
As above depends how long and how often.
More than one operator regularly parked outside their operating centre and other places, ended up going to Pi for failing to use their operating centre correctly.
The odd stop is not so bad.

What kind of trailer was it? What was its purpose while parked up? Was it in clear site from the main road or hidden by trees and stuff
Who removed it? and was notice served upon it to be removed?

My plan is not to be used in anyway for hire and reward and has nothing to do with transportation of anything!
Pi?

The one I was thinking of was parked as per pic.
It was a curtainsider, just looked abandoned to me, obviously I was exaggerating how long it was there as it wasn’t picked up by Google Street view. No idea if notice was served.
This is another fridge trailer also on the A30, closer to London. Picked up by Google Street view in April 2022
Coordinates 51.447129,-0.455045
And again unmoved in Nov 22
For any of the people who know the laws on such things you are going to have to give a clue as to what it will be used for. Otherwise people can only guess as to why you want to park it on a road or layby. All you have said so far is it isn’t for hire or reward.

Straight forward obstruct Highway offence.
RIPPER:
So why are gypsy given a 30 day notice from the council to move on as soon as they arrive and not the owner of this trailer I ask?

So they are just dumping them will nilly and no one seams to care. I am surprised how it has not been stolen!

I am being evicted from where I live, plus I am paying 100 quid a month for 50sq ft of storage if this helps
