The regular trucks parked there are permit holders who pay quarterly. If you give me an idea of where you’re tipping I can give you some more ideas.
Sadly permit parking has become commonplace in the area and it’s starting to engulf a larger and larger area.

Don’t let that fool ya, had the same thing in Poole was on a housing estate looked on street view, what ya know? A perfectly fine house. Get there it’s a building site, they’d knocked down the original house to build a bigger one!!
The market may be on at the race course at the top of the steep hill.
Bus 20,21,&22 will take you or a half hour walk from town.
Some bargains to be had.
There is another nudist beach by the marina at the other end.
The mini train or narrow guage may be running on the sea front.
The marina has lots of good restaurants and lots of posh totty spotting there.
If you get too bored, the Seven Sisters natural park is very scenic.
An estuary that runs to the sea.
Good pub over looking the bird sanctuary.
Get the bus to Eastbourne.
It stops by the entrance to the beauty spot.
Young al.
There is a good all you can eat buffet with Indian/Mexican and Chinese in Brighton.
Set price. On the main shopping street near the Pavilon. If you see the very big Barclays bank building,it is near that on the opposite side of the steet.
Nice looking waitresses and friendly staff.
Fill your boots.!
Going back many years, I once had a high value load and ran out of time in Brighton, there was nowhere suitable to park so I went to the police, they gave me dispensation to run to Newhaven docks and had called security to get them to park on site. I doubt they would do that nowadays

The Lanes are nice to walk in if you get the time, the pier is good too, with a couple of good chip shops at the entrance.
Aye, at 7 quid a time for fish n chips. Boy, them southerners know how to charge! Lager £4.20 a pint in pubs, no doubt more in clubs.
By pure coincidence I was in Brighton Wed & Thurs night. I saw several trucks parked on Wharf Road (bottom centre of below map) on Wed. night.
Bus from there to town #700 £1.80 1 way. (return available) Every 10 mins 'till about 6pm, every 30 in the evening. To catch it back, its the last bus stop in Churchill Square.
Yates’s & a few other pubs on West St. not far from Churchill Sq. Lots of take aways on Preston St.

Imagine my fun as a 19 year old bus driver down here during the summer
M1cks, having just ridden on 3 different buses in Brighton this week (2 x 700 + open top city tour) If you drive a bus around Brighton without hitting anything or anybody + talent spotting at the same time, fair play to you mate. Some of those junctions are very tight - not designed for vehicles of that length.
Was chatting with one driver as we went west from Churchill Square, he was telling me some of the stuff he’s seen just as a 7.5 tonner we were following pulls onto the pavement in front of us and stops right opposite a traffic island!
Then a coloured ■■■■■■■ a bike tries to bike round us just as we’re edging past the 7.5 tonner! (who had to move until he was parked 100% on the wide pavement!).
Yep, Wharf Road is where Richie22 was referring to.
Things don’t seem to cost that much more down here but after spending the week in Devon, service from staff and convenience of shops is much better here.
The problem with the bus routes is that to avoid the traffic, nearly all buses use the one stretch of road that’s dedicated bus lane. There’s so many of them, they cause their own traffic jams.
Don’t get me started on the cyclists and the Green councils crusade to carve the town up and make it anti car.
Still, I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.
Young al,have a look for pubs and clubs, there may be some live music.A band playing. It is a party town but you will get the idiots that have to spoil it and have a fight.
M1cks, I found people including shop keepers to be generally very friendly and helpful. I found Brighton to be a nice town with many nice looking buildings. I was however quite surprised at the number of foreigners in town. I’d been wanting to see it for years and as I had some business in Chichester, decided to take the opportunity to stay a couple of nights. Dumped the car outside the restricted parking zones in Hove near Saxon road & got the bus in.
