Paper licence but no passport - refused dcpc training?

Just back from rugby, and one of the lads in the club said he was told he could not attend dcpc training cause he dont have a photo licence or a valid passport. (he aint one of the players its the bloke who runs the bar ) i said i would ask on here for him.

Is it true, or is it a wind up?

TRUE

The photo for the DQC is taken as a copy of the one on the photocard driving licence or the passport so you need one or the other

It’s true, it happened to one of the people on my DCPC course.

So he has to get a photcard licence or a passport before he can get his DQC - what about digi cards - never thought to ask him if he has a digi card - but bet you lot will say he needs a photocard or a passport before he can get a digi card.

I didnt think about that, should not have had the 7 pints and now sodding x factor is on, should av stayed down the club posting.php?mode=reply&f=2&t=92739#

Same for digis = WRONG - dft.gov.uk/vosa/repository/A … 20card.pdf - there is a place on the digi form to send in a photo

This information is slightly wrong.

You have to have a photo card driving licence to obtain a DQC. Not a passport or digi card etc

You have to have a photocard licence and paper counter part or old style licence and valid passport to prove ID for attendance of a DCPC course. Nothing else is allowed
