From what my Mrs tells me they’re shutting grantham high street ( London rd ) for a month from this weekend , this should be fun
700 mainly double deck trailers too just to please people even more and prune the trees at the same time
I seriously doubt they have that many per night no matter what Pallex say!

You can bet that there would be no weight limit if it went through a council estate.

Tbf we do three during the day and six at night so that’s nine from one operator
I m not saying they don’t get a lot just not 600 per night and 100 during day
Even if you count night hours as 12 hrs that’s 50 per hour - no chance they can take that many tip/ loads
Bit of an exaggeration methinks
Still does get the point across to news lot

Probably 700 movements
Probably find a member of the council lives down that 7.5t weight limited road.

Probably so, they won’t care about a 22 mile detour - it doesn’t inconvenience them does it !!

Won’t be just Pallex affected round there Mcann’s is near there too and the amount of traffic coming out of there at the min will be going round it too plus there’s other businesses round there it’s not a ideal alternative route for a lot of traffic really.

You try giving them a call and asking them if you are that concerned. They probably have a legitimate reason and are usually very helpful. I have phoned and asked several times and asked their reasons in other areas.
Lots of drivers egnoring the weight limit and trying their look but be warned there’s regular undercover patrols and drivers getting fined, the road simply isn’t wide enough you have been warned!
