It’s a Line for Pallets !
Its a company (there are several now) that is made up of smaller local hauliers who have low numbers of pallets to deliver throughout the uk that dont justify dedicated vehicles.
Each night they congregate at a central hub (or mini hub) and “palletline” forkies tranship the pallets to the depot that covers the postcode the goods are destined for.
The originating haulier charges the customer, the delivery haulier gets a set fee for delivering and the hub take a slice off the top for coordinating it all.
In effect, they’re brokers who own warehouses and fork lifts.
