Got to take the tanker too oxford street (London) tonight after 2230 are there any restrictions that i should know about ,like can i get down there as i remember a few years back you could only go at certain times

what about the lorry ban
The only thing to worry about is the London lorry ban (London lorry control) which is 9pm i think to 7am for any vehicles over 18ton. Its a big fine, i think about £500 quid, so may be worth checking out

access is allowed after 10pm. i enter oxford street from regent street and head down toward marble arch, lots of building work between these two points and traffic only flows in that direction. if you try to enter from the A41 end you will be taking a diversion. sorry, no knowledge of ox street far side of regent street.
going by the the pie guide it can’t be done. can get as far as a4 or a40 but can’t get much further. take the most direct route though. a40 - a41 do a left onto oxford street
Cheers guys ,got to do a pit clean at a resturant down there later, the tanker is ten ton empty but 20 t when full ,so on way in will be ok its just on the way out for the lorry ban ,was more worried about getting down oxford street but will be there after 2200.
it don’t work like that! it goes by the plated spec on your vehicle! if your vehicle is plated as a 26 toner, thats what you are! empty or not

I go down A41,turn right at A501,and just before Bridge left to a5 south.Brings you to Hyde Park.Go left and you in Oxford Street.
A41 and A501 are OK for lorry Ban,but not sure A5 and Oxford Street.May cost £170.-

Well guys all went ok,the rd i wanted was james st which is off oxford st but it was closed off one end so had fun getting the tanker round a couple of side streets but got there in the end .

a5 is a banned road but direct route. oxford street is classed as restricted access
