Pretty much all the ones they own outright. Some of them are still in daily use; I suspect that they’re not selling this lot out of choice, as there’s been a strong rumour going round here for several months that Owens are being run by the bank.

Can’t say I blame them. We’ve only got one at our place (8x2 day-cab Lander, curtainside with Moffett) and whilst it does the job OK it’s not a patch on a Volvo for cab ergonomics.

they’ve gone to lease hire,apparently it will work out cheaper in the long run,some fitters layed off, have to see how it pans out.

Couldn’t care less about the state of them. I can wire those motors, that’s all I care about 
Dont know about anyone else but i always find these sort of auctions interesting, amazing what some of these firms keep hold of and/or still have in daily use 
4 of mccarthy drivers left to go to owens runnin out of llay down to newport every night £8 hr all hours
