Anything running significantly slower than the rest of us can cause bunching, this can’t be a good thing surely…How would you define “significant”?
50 is significantly slow…
Slow enough to be classified as an obstacle
If your running on the limiter, than I wouldn’t class it as an “obstacle” on a 3 lane motorway. Personally I’d be quite happy that I can overtake quite happily with a well planned manouver .

No need to be patronising, you’re obviously oblivious of the disruption running at 50 can cause…
In reasonably heavy traffic, and not a deserted motorway where a solitary slow truck is of no inconvenience, a line of trucks coming up behind some slow moving vehicles can cause mayhem. First few trucks move out, cars then block the centre lane, breaking and trying move over. Remainder of the trucks in line are then forced to slow down, even break at this point while trying to get out, which cause a knock on effect - Not good me thinks.
If we all run at a similar pace then there would be little or no need for this sort of action, speed is easily adjusted within a few mph. A difference of 6 mph when fully loaded is no small fry.
And before you all cry to tuck in behind the slowest vehicle, I wish I had that luxury…
One of our regular runs is a 8.5 hour drive, with a 50/50 chance of making it in 15. If I were to drop my speed to 50 it could add 30/40 minutes to the journey. No, I’d sooner get home thanks… Although, I’ve to load in Swindon and tip in Glasgow tomorrow so I’ll give it a go
