Got an overspeed yesterday. Do companies make you sign for these as an infringement?
It went off at 92-93…lol that’s like 1mph

We only get to sign the Naughty Sheet if it goes over 100 kph, I’ve only done it once, with a heavy load on Overspeed Hill (just north of Coalville/J22/M1) it always does it there. I usually brake her down to 89 kph after about 45 seconds, (it only shows Overspeed after 1 minute)but I let her go once, (brakes were hot officer, I was worried that they would catch fire !)113 kph just to see what it would get up to, as she got to 70 I thought “that’s enough” & slowed her down. (Sod the brakes, lol)
No. It’s only if it continues for an extended period of time to show your limiter isn’t working.
Blue chips don’t like loads of them though even if it was below 60mph.
A34 south of Oxford is pretty handy if you’re trying to build up a few of these.
A404 heading to Marlow is good too.
Apparently
I’ve had a few of these when on a Microlise tracked motor. Was on the M5 s/b by J3 I think and she wanted to go so as it was early I let her have a bit of fun sure I was well into the 70’s. Next week the sheet only showed 67.2 i was most dissapointed.
Before any pedants get on their high horse- I gave myself a good telling off for it.

If they do then its only an internal company one - not a legal one - so should be signed as such
I just used to sign it - I do not recognise this as a legal infringement.
As long it is under 60mph of course
The other driver who I worked with at my old firm only had C1 on grandfather rights, and driven them for most of his life for builders etc, came back from doing a drop with his new 7.5t LF. “She went off the clock on the A505 going to Hitchin”
He was known as a bit of a Billy ■■■■■■■■■■■ so I didn’t say anything at the time, then when I checked his tachographs I was impressed just how high he got the needle to go on a 125kph chart!
That LF was a shed too. Wonder the wheels didn’t fall off.
Some speeds there fellas

But they’ll be 50 mph speed limits.
Never been picked up for overspeeds despite having plenty, 6 the other night alone. I always look at them as a Tacho problem as long as you’re under the speed limit.
When i was on Solstor they would give you an infringement notice for the slightest thing that flagged up on their system, the TM couldnt tell a light bulb from an ashtray, and relied so much on computer technology, after 18 infringements you were called to a disciplinary hearing, and then offered training or the sack.
