Anyone know what the penalties are for overspeed it’s happen twice today…I usually check me sat nav for speed but it’s broke and the speedo is on kilometres so missed checkin it specially with truck on cruise control…I thought speed limit was 60 on motorways so why come up over speed when you do 58 59…

The speed limit is 60…But the limited speed is 56/90ks…Alot of firms don’t worry about…Ours does though as its linked to the microlise system they use…And thus effects your score for a fuel bonus…As for penalties there won’t be any as in fines or points…

Don’t know what your company does, but get too many where i am and you start the disciplinary route.
Presumably you can alter the red warning signal speed on the tacho, i have mine set for i think 91k’s, soon as i see it i drop a gear (or two) and steady it on the exhaust brake.
