Overhead matrix - red x m4 bristol

“Red flashing lights. If red lights on the overhead signals flash above your lane and a red ‘X’ is showing, you MUST NOT go beyond the signal in that lane. If red lights flash on a signal in the central reservation or at the side of the road, you MUST NOT go beyond the signal in any lane.
Laws RTA 1988 sect 36 & TSRGD regs 10 & 38”

And there are some right knobs on this thread tonight. Pushing in/cutting up, blatantly not following the law etc. And people wonder why truck drivers have such a dire reputation :unamused:

Dipper_Dave:
Sounds good to me and a great way to make progress… I often wait till the last minute to pull over and usually pick a car or two to intimidate out of the way, half a mile of standing traffic I sailed past the other day to merge in to the open lane at the cones as the traffic was flowing nicely…

until the camera flashes on the other side :grimacing:

Can we add the individual who closes lanes with the overhead gantries earlier than necessary to the arse list. It is just an unnecessary extension to the dead tarmac and adds to the frustration. Advance warning good - advance closure bad.

Twas a Maritime with a box on broken down … and yes RED X you are NOT permitted to pass under this signal and as the cameras for speed and the Traffic cameras are all live you can bet your bottom dollar someone was monitoring the traffic … as HW cone chuckers were out coning lanes off hence the red X way before the cones started. Its to Protect the workers before some wally hits them :unamused:

I believe the new section of the M25 (M26-M23 section) is equipped with cameras that flash when a vehicle passes through a red ‘X’ lane closure.

Always a strange sense of satisfaction when you see someone else getting flashed for not obeying the rules!

Well I was full of admiration for dipper dave there, and then he went and dropped his bottle. I always like to knock a few cones over before I carve someone up. Red Cross… what’s that then.
