I left Luton at 0600 today heading north on the M1 the overheads are showing delays M6 17/18 Ime heading that way but think it might clear by the time I get there,onto the M6 past Coventry still showing delays it’s now 0715,M6 clear around Brum so no need to use the toll then BOOM M6 shut 17/18,3 hours getting around it but when I looked at the news tonight the accident happend at 0520,did they leave him trapped in the cab till 0730 then think let’s shut the motorway!!! If there going to put warnings on the overheads why can’t they give correct information!!!
Two days running professional HGV drivers have managed to bring chaos to this stretch of the M6 in the roadworks running into the back of each other,Ffs it’s a 50 limit 3 lanes and your all going in the same direction,if you can’t manage that simple task without hitting each other think about another career.

Few years ago mate of mine ran into the back of another wagon at 50mph luckily for him he survived it mainly due to the fact he was running empty at the time…oh and if you can call him having a stroke and losing all control of the right hand side of his body and watching the back of the wagon in front of him getting closer by the second and him sitting there unable to step on the brakes his own stupid fault then your all heart,maybe the driver today suffered a medical emergency too but ■■■■ him hey how dare he inconvenience you for a cpl of hours.

He survived thankfully.

By some sort of miracle,and a very long stay in hospital.
So you had plenty of warnings yet still got stuck in a motorway closure. Pro drivers I’ve ■■■■ em. Buy a forking map book.
Congestion = a bit late
Delays = very late
Long Delays = forked.
From Bristol on the M5 I saw flashing warnings of two hour delays to get to J15 on the M6 then it said shut further up for the crash .
The radio reports never said if it was a fatal or not but a driver who went past the other way , said the cab was bad .
Reports later changed from two lanes shut to one lane shut .
Drivers taking alternative diversion routes will be caught in jams by others doing the same .
I was “parked” there 3hrs yesterday and passed the wrecked decker about 930am.
God help the fella who was driving it as couldn’t tell what make of truck unit it was.
