Quick moan as I have posted about these useless things before 
Coming back from Lutterworth early morning last Saturday on my way back to Southampton,got on the M40 at Jcn 9,Matrix signs are flashing saying:
A34/A272 ACCIDENT LONG DELAYS
As it happened I wasânt listening to local traffic reports as I thought well its Saturday so I turned the usual Radio 2 off
I saw another sign on the M40 and A34 near chieveley with the same message,so I pulled into Chieveley for breakfast,I thought to myself theres another matrix sign by the A34/A303 Jcn,if its still flashing Iâll divert via A303/M3 thus missing the accident.
So I carried on my merry way down got to the 303 sign nothing was flashing so I thought all over so i carried straight down and got caught for an hour in the delays which I could have avoided if these â â â â â â â signs and the people operating them were any good.
What is the point in spending ÂŁ250,000 a sign most of the time they are displaying wrong or very vague information
I could have also have avoided seeing the aftermath of a very nasy accident involving 2 wagons one of which if anyone survived iâd be very surprised and it make me feel quite shocked when I saw it.
On a lighter note whilst coming along the M27 on my way home last night I saw one sign with DONT DRINK AND DRIVE the next one said DONT DRINK AND DRIVE with the word END next to it so after this sign i suppose its ok to drink and drive eh
