Back in the days when I was involved in free radio one of the guy’s got a holiday for a criminal offence involving a dog.
The facts of the case also did the rounds, but as they kind of spoilt the headline, Steve became known for a criminal offence involving a dog.

There was a bloke in Goole got done a few years ago, it was reported in the Goole Times and Howdenshire Gazette.
He ha a string of offences against him, robbery, theft, no insurance etc.
But the headline read, Man arrested for buggery with a sheep

I don’t remember what Steve had done, probably burglary knowing him, but some where a dog had been mentioned, possibly the house he robbed had a pet dog or similar.
His offence did not directly involve the animal, hence a criminal offence involving a dog.
Also if I remember correctly every one but Steve loved the joke.
I do remember that unlike the rest of us, when he got caught for breeches of the Marine Offences Act. i.e. Broadcasting with out a licence, he got jumped on as he had a criminal record, we lost our kit, got a few hundred pounds in fines & told not to be naughty boys again,he got threatened with prison again & a very heavy handed fine.
