When us lorry drivers complain that we can’t park here or there anymore and that these showers are dirty we only have our fellow drivers to blame.
I regularly park at BOCM feed mill at Selby which as some will know is where you turn into to go down to Potter Group and Tarmac over the railway line. The parking in this yard is for people who have business with the feed mill only.
Last night there was me and another bulker and then also a Shipley Transport SSC Daf. On waking up this morning said Shipley driver has left behind a pile of tissues and 2 takeaway food containers. Why do drivers feel the need to do this when there is a bin/skip nearby? No doubt this driver dumps his rubbish everywhere he parks and gives the rest if us a bad name!
Totally right but we can just blame the Eastern Europeans now.

Parking was actually banned at this site because of foreigners taking their 45 hour rest periods on a weekend (while the mill was closed) and leaving the place in a mess. There was rubbish, bottles of ■■■■, bags of ■■■■ etc etc. they reinstated parking for the drivers delivering to the mill as there isn’t a lot else available. More abuse will no doubt lead to it being withdrawn again!

Agreed, but there are many of British driver who should live in a stable; a few days ago I seen a bloke, who was on a bay at NYK Tilbrook; he took a wee on his front wheel then he had some luch; the rubbish flown out of his window… The nice clean toilet was about one hundred yards away…
It’s easy to blame the foreigners, but I saw truck driver facilities vandalised long before they came over in big numbers. And the graffiti was in English anyway and as we are always being told they don’t speak English.
As a nation we’re lead to believe that we love the countryside, but one look at the laybys and verges tells another story, they’re full of rubbish, litter and stuff thats been fly tipped and it’s not just truck drivers to blame, it’s really a disgrace and an embarrassment especially when you go to countries like Germany.

A free truck park in Melksham was closed down by the council due to many complaints by locals who said drivers used the free truck park as a toilet,against the fences of local houses, the smell in the summer, you can imagine, the Wiltshire Times ran the story for months, with an elderly lady writting in to complain that a lady trucker had the cheek to get undressed in the privacy of her sleeper cab, so who was watching who, the lady in the house?

Its the same with toilets…why do drivers crap all over the rim…the seat…then expect another person to use it…do they do this at home ?
This winds me up too, i hate it when you go to any services toilet and some Kint has ■■■■■■ all over the toilet seat, REALLY How hard is it too lift up the toilet seat

Unfortunately this is just another aspect of wagon driver habits that add to the poor opinion the general public have of wagon drivers. You’re right Matt, the minority of your fellow drivers are to blame, no one else, which is summed up by the following comment.

I was in J23 t/s last week, as I’m driving down the hill there’s some ■■■■■■ having a ■■■■ up the side of his trailer, which was the next but one from the bar . Now I know the older I get the more frequent I need to go and with some urgency but 50 yards from the bog is taking the ■■■■ (pun intended).
