Got overtaken on the M69 today by a Simon Gibson motor, he didn’t acknowledge my flash in of course (nothing new there then)I caught him up approaching the first roundabout on the Coventry bypass and noticed he was driving erratically. He was braking way too early for the roundabout with nothing in front of him and no queue ahead, he was also wandering into lane two.
As we accelerated away from the roundabout and I was lighter than him I started to overtake him knowing exactly what I’d see as I passed; sure enough the living, breathing embodiment of why we have mobile phone laws! Not only did he have the phone in his right hand making it highly visible to anyone passing him he was also busy texting/facebooking or whatever at the time.
I’ve got a theory about mobiles in that some people can use them with no problems, but others such as this guy shouldn’t even take them to work with them!
I usually adopt a live and let live attitude with this sort of thing but I KNOW the driver is a member on here as I’ve seen the truck in the picture thread, so I’d like to take the opportunity to say “dude, you really do have to stop that. The chances of you killing or injuring me are tiny, but trust me you WILL kill someone else!”
Yeah. Coming home from the NEC on Mon night, I’m coming up on an artic in lane 1, a Sprinter coming up on me in lane 2. I calculate that the Sprinter will pass in time for me to pull out around the artic. He passes me and…SLOWS RIGHT DOWN to the artic’s speed, boxing me in completely. 75/80 down to 55/60 in an instant. Guess why. Yes - on his zbing mobile.
Much further on he comes flying past again. Richard!

I have no idea who the driver (or username) is mainly 'cos I have neither time nor inclination to trawl through the photo thread. Perhaps the driver who originally posted the truck pic has left the company in the meantime? Who knows? The truck however has appeared on these pages.I’d like to stress that I wasn’t bothered by it because quite simply the chances of him hurting me or mine are negligible, and quite frankly if he destroyed the life of a stranger it would have no impact on my world. No, the reason I posted in the first place is that if he reads it then maybe, just maybe he’ll consider what I’ve written and save himself in the best case a lot of money and in the worst case a custodial sentence.
To sum up then, I have no interest in informing the Gibson high ups, the police, MI5 or anybody else, but if I can prevent possible future problems then I’ve done my Christian act for the day and can get on with the serious business of being a [zb] to someone else!
Sorry pal ive just come across this post I dont come on here much at mo, I post loads of pics of simon gibson motors ive driven on here, ive had 9 of his motors so far but soon to be 10…, so maybe your thinking it was me.Id just like to say for the record I left gibbos last sep but will be returning in a matter of weeks so would like to say it cant of been me.
I fully understand how mad you would be sounds like dangerous driving to me, I also would like to say he has a large amount of vehicles now so can understand the confusion if youd happen to think it were me but again it wasnt.
I will say this tho simon takes all calls of complaints seriously and also has been known to read through this forum… I myself have had little words Iin my ear off him for saying too much at times on here lol

Ffs there’s enough people out there with an agenda without me joining in a witch hunt. I will also spell it out for you Tonka that I wasn’t bothered/upset/enraged at all by his actions, I merely posted as I had a feeling the driver might have been a member here and I wanted to consider that the next person who saw him texting whilst driving might indeed be bothered and in a position to do something about it.

Despite stating numerous times that I wasn’t particularly bothered by his actions you have decided that you know better and I indeed was. I contend that they have merely made an observation and opened up a discussion, in much the same way I did with my op. All of these quotes are from yourself. Again you name the company, you give the location, what he was doing wrong (according to your word as you havent provided pictures/evidence to back up your claim), the date it occurred… So there for you do grass your “fellow working man.” You could have simply sent the person YOU KNOW a pm and dealt with it that way instead of bringing the company name into it and any other drivers who may or may not be on here…
