Some great looking trucks here WWW. Just wondering, and I don’t mean to open a can of worms so tell me to sod off if you wish, but how do you decide which driver gets a vehicle like that in the fleet? Length of service?[/quo
Many different factors to be honest. But length of service isn’t one of them… The lads that really like to keep them spotless will end up with something nice !!! - I started a lad a few weeks back and he went straight into our Red 730 on his 1st day. (I knew how well he looked after his trucks)

Sounds like the best reason to give one to a driver. Take good care of them cus they ain’t cheap, thanks [emoji3]

Had a lad in our place last week he was a youngish fair head lad it was a white scanny 6 legger and I think it was M99 WTS OR something similar but fair shout he was giving it a good going over with his spit and duster and was receiving admiring glances.

Another top lad !!!
Yeah he said he’d been there 2 yrs and was loving it. I felt embarrassed parking my run of the mill dirty white Actros next to him !!

And me, a truck is a means to an end ie to work to make money, if he feels like that he should buy a Ferrari. Not jealous …honestly
…but as a professional driver, which wheel would he probably spend more time behind? The Scania looks fantastic, and probably gives the driver that ‘inner glow of satisfaction’!

Going back a few years ago… …A few people put comments on here that the drivers earn crap money because they drive top spec trucks. I can assure you this is not true. Decent trucks, decent work & decent wages attracts the best drivers out there and I can cheery pick the ones I feel are most suited to our work. I have never used agency drivers and never will and I will never use foreign drivers… …all I want in return is reliability and for them to look after my kit. Some of my drivers have worked for me for 10 years plus…
Cheers. Pete White.
Wow - I don’t live anywhere near you, and I only passed my C+E a few weeks back, so its pointless asking for a job (or getting in the queue), but I applaud your approach and hope there are more firms around with your outlook and professional ethics! I reckon you deserve the success you are getting.
Enjoy your Shiny Trucks!
The jealousy and bitterness from so many people on these forums is unreal. Some of you must be ■■■■■■■ hard to live with. Give your heads a wobble will you.

Totally agree. The bar room accountants always tickle me. They seem to know the financial ins and outs of every company, they even know what rates they charge
