I presume your a Scotsman by your monicker. Just like all the others I’ve met. Miserable as sin. Comes of living where it rains all the time I presume.
Look mate! call me a miserable ■■■■ or a ■■■■ or even a ■■■■, but how very dare you accuse me of being a Scot, my name is Rob and Roy, hence Robroy , but deffo English , it’s just that I’m bored and enjoy winding up those amongst us who have very little sense of humour, as demonstrated right now
, and to Mr White glad to hear your ego dimensions are adequate, but relax size doesn’t really matter
, and nice to see more of your truckporn for your fans. OK I’ll admit it you do have some nice motors
, [zb] it I’m slipping, who should I wind up next

Well thanks vey much, but this is my last post on this ■■■■ thread cos I don’t want to be responsible for starting page 16, as I’ll be as sad as you lot of anoraks. So I might go down the boozer to sit in a cold corner on a hard chair by myself and be bloody miserable,…heaven

So why cant you get the V8 side skirts on a tag?? Is it a shorter distance between the front wheel to the tag as apposed to the front wheel to a mid lift??
It is longer.

Shorter than a 4x2 - Longer than a 6x2
They look really good seeing as they have been made !!!
Just seen this one @ junc 16 Swindon.
Looking very nice! Always liked your trucks and found your drivers good for a chat when I was shunting in Icelands Swindon.

Now all you need to do in my humble opinion is use the font used on the front of the truck on Ray White and use it on the trailers. All the trailer writing in that font would look totes amazeballs
switchlogic:
My 6x2 had sideskirts. Lots of them do so they are very standard.
The new style skirts have been available from Scania for the 4x2 and 6x2 midlift for a while but certainly up until recently weren’t available for the 6x2 tag or 6x4 double drive.
Easy enough for a quality outfit like Tor Trucks to modify some I would say.
Cheers

Bloody Tapatalk suddenly added 2 pages of posts once I’d posted the above making it a little outdated.

Just out of interest Pete which Ray White truck do you drive or are you more office based ? Was wondering as we get quite a few of your trucks in our place (Culina Avonmouth) and will look out for you.

I’m not allowed out on the road mate… I’m far too ugly and would scare the customers
Ray will be tipping in Cullina Avonmouth on Wednesday lunchtime in the new 730 as long as he doesn’t get stuck in the snow tomorrow in Brittany…
Heavy snow in Kent / Northern France causing me quite a few problems tonight… Got trucks in Norway / Sweden / Denmark / Germany & Italy with no problems at all… We get a sprinkling of snow and it causes mayhem…

It wasn’t about the hill. It was more to do with power differences between wagons.Ok, then we take it an other way, that’s one of the reasons for HP, try those hills with 420, 440 480, I have, don’t want them again.
Brilliant Video, Thanks. I have a few heading to Norway this weekend. 1 to Olso, 1 to Stravanger and maybe 1 to Narvik !!!
My drivers would love to tackle hills like that to really test the V8 engine !!
Late but. Well the one heading to Narvik I guess is crossing the border at Björnfjell. That’s quite a nice hill coming from the Norwegian side Towards Sweden loaded. No problems without chains other than the crappy 2 axle and pusher trucks that are always stuck blocking my way up. It start directly from the e6 with a 7 or 8% hill (don’t remember) so you have to be on the lookout for on coming traffic if you are to make the turn coming from Bjerkavik. Need all the speed you can making the turn to e10 in the winter
You are down to around 35km/h at the heaviest part with 50t driving 580s and 620s.
There is a small bridge halfway up the mountain I almost flew over it this summer on my way to up to the toll house/border. They were about to close but made it with 1 minute margin, looked the door when my papers was done …

That’s a shame Wednesday is the first of my 3 days off this week, maybe next time.
Hi cheers for adding the photos, there is also a photo of the new Red Scania with tag axle on a recent Flickr site, cheers Alan.

Got the tin hat ready, but somebody gets a new motor and it’s 15 pages, ffs it’s just a [zb] truck at the end of the day, and some are admitting to salivating and saying it’s better than ■■■
, maybe it’s just me but some on here are sounding like anorak wearing train spotters, take your beige cardigans off and get a [zb] life
. Taking cover as I press send
Why not? The only other thing that is likely to get 15 pages worth on here is a Stobart bashing thread. So its nice to see something positive getting the same for once. Tidy, top spec but not OTT pimped trucks and drivers who praise their boss on here. Not very often that happens.
On the subject of Stobarts, even the spotters
, the lowest common denominator of humanity
, don’t go on about knocking one out over a [zb] truck
, tongue in cheek or otherwise
, I just don’t believe some of the sychophantic comments on this thread, and the blatant ego massaging aimed towards the owner of this motor
And to the other guy… it’s good being a miserable [zb]! it’s the new happy
My ego is massive as it is thanks… Don’t need this thread to make it any bigger…
Is your name victor meldew or steptoe by any chance…

Our man in Portsmouth says your two in Pompey weren’t happy at finding out they are waiting list this morning.
I’m shipping this afternoon , hopefully it will be a bit easier by then. Rungis might be busy tomorrow night.

Yeh Brian was the same. I told him to say it was boxed but he didn’t fancy it.
We got two going out later of which I’m one. Hopefully it will sort itself out by then.

The one that did make the Le Harve boat is in Le Harve now and has been told that maybe tonight 10pm or maybe 8am tomorrow before they let them go… I think Caen will be the same mate.
