Final figures for 2015 are now in, and it’s great to see that British CV output grew by a third in the year with 94,479 vehicles produced – half of which were exported.
Europe is, by some distance, our biggest export market. After a troubled few years post-recession, it has now returned to consistent growth – a positive sign as we move into 2016.
Your 'avin a larf aint ya ■■ just wait for the chinese downturn to take effect, the markets are already fallin thru the floor and I take it you work in the propaganda office of that crook Cameron or the money launderer Osborne ?

Maybe all cheap subsidized steel they’re producing, along with other polluting manufacturing there ; the fumes from their own industries might slow them down a bit.

That’s a pessimistic view. When it’s obvious that those well paid Chinese workers are just waiting until the Summer before they start spending again on loads of British exports to put us back into our previous trade surplus with China.
As for the EU.Con party HQ have assured us that the idea that the ‘exports’ ,which the OP refers to,are just assembly operations based on import of EU made components which are then sent back to make the trade surplus with the EU look even better,is a total lie.Put out by those seeking to discredit Cameron’s and Osborne’s economic miracle of putting the UK back at the top of the prosperity league tables.
I should have said that this was a quote from a statement by the SMMT.

Black is white and day is night. “Everythings just bloody fantastic" said a government spin doctor. "now if youll excuse me, i have a gravy train to catch.”
Meanwhile, the free democratic press continued to do exactly as they were told.
(no idea what i even mean - but it feels appropriate)
cv production is high but these have become assembly jobs the real question is can you build a cv from parts produced in the uk this is what creates a supply chain and driving jobs. just ask any driver how many 3500kgs tilts hit the m1 m6 each day running to the car plants in the uk from Poland Bulgaria etc . these plants used to be in the uk ask any driver from the seventies they all delivered to these companies then the closed as we were going make retail plants on these sites . the smart Johnny foreigner bought the old equipment took it home and made the same .thing cheaper and sold it to the uk companies at a lower price to enable them to export and sell abroad. don’t be fooled the Chinese are coming to sell here they are improving quality daily I know I deliver cars and some of the biggest brands sold here already sell cars made in china ask any car transporter driver , I have also seen the new ldv twice as good as before . BUY british made goods if you want british jobs next time you’ve curse that bmw or audi or Mercedes that suddenly stole your braking space it might be one of those cheap Chinese cars
Nowt wrong with an old Leyland Sherpa, I had a petrol one standing at the back of my warehouse doing sod all apart from the odd panic job occasionally when I had nothing else available, but it earned it’s keep as it’s fuel card was used to fill up my XJ 6 with no agro from the tax man over cars usage. ie %age pleasure or business.
