With all the posts about seasoned drivers leaving the industry for pastures new. Rob, Trucky Carl etc.

I am reasonably happy with my lot, but then again because I am away all week I dont see all the opportunities there are around. This week I am on Holiday so I went to the pub and read the local job papers!

There are dozens of agencies advertising £10.50, £11.25 even £12.50 per hour in the paper. So I looked at the various websites, and this money suddenly drops to 7 or 8 quid for a temporary job.

As I have always said, agencies should be banned and the companies who do need drivers will have to pay the going rate.

The only thing one major company is interested in around me is Graduates.

WFT do they understand about transport without any working knowledge?

:smiley: Got to agree and have said before too - Ban the poxy Agencies.

Graduates :open_mouth: :unamused: Must be for cheap labour. :confused:

Nothing. This is why they always fit in well in any transport office!

I wont do Fulltime for an Agency anymore.
Parttime for extramoney yes,but,Fulltime?
you get booked in and out as they mean.
I did it for 6 Month,and if the Company hadn’t booked my in as the Agency booked my out,i were bankrupt today
