Opinions wanted

Good morning,
Do any of you out there have anything to say on any of the firms advertising every month in the magazines for Owner Drivers requiring work? Good or bad?

BRADCLYDE LTD?
ROSEWOOD TRUCKING?
SEALANE European Logistics?
Dean Castle Transport?
UKI EXPRESS?

Many Thanks,

I 'phoned UKI last week for a load from Romford to northern France. It was for a 24 ton load of beer & they wanted to pay 150 Pounds & for me to pay the ferry.

Someone once posted the comment that if they need to advertise like that then there must be a problem somewhere.

I spoke to UKI and thought the rates where too low.

Worked for Sealane - OK, if you don’t mind being talked down to by 20 year olds and earning c. £1600 pw (legal)

Spoke to Rosewood - told them only worked legal - sent details and rang back 4 times but couldnt get them to return call.

Spoke to Dean Castle - I think they wanted a truck with two drivers for 24 hour work so wasnst interested.

had no dealings with the above but done a fair bit for swanshaws in the winter, not the best rates you’ve ever seen but ok, paid on the nail everytime which is a refreshing change in an industry full of chancers!
your not get rich but they’re straight enough.
