Hello all
Just a bit of advice please. I want to do the Operator Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC), but before I do I want a book to read to gain a little knowledge before I take the course. Can anyone advise me please of the best book to buy.

David Lowe Transport Manager and Operators hand book updated annually.
That is always an interesting book to read and to digest the knowledge.
With the authors name being similar to yours , did you write it , but under a nom de plume` , Dave the Renegade ?

Perhaps you would be better on an associated Trucknet Forum “New and wannabe drivers”,just a suggestion.

I thought the operator’s CPC was still quite separate from the driver’s one (DCPC). (I still have an international operator’s CPC but not a DCPC because I retired). Robert

That’s correct Robert they are two separate items, I still have a UK CPC But like you good self Im retired and never bothered to get a drivers CPC, Regards Larry.

I still have my operaters cpc uk licence which I got in 1970,but now retired I don,t use it.Does it run out or last as long as I do.?

In October 2011 transport managers were requested to complete and return a questionnaire in order to populate the national register.
