Operator Licensing in France

Hello,

I am looking for a ‘fixer’ who can help me apply for an operators license in France, area 49 to be exact. Ideally I am looking for someone who has some experience in the process or knows a man that can.

Any suggestions,

Regards

Paul

Ask the question on the total France forum totalfrance.com/france/forum/index.php, I have seen it asked on here before,.
hope it easier then registering a UK vehicle in France, the French love paper work

Woodstock, thanks for your info and pointer to other info. Yes having married there and bought several houses, they’re not short of people to shuffle paper around for no apparent reason!

Regards

Paul

Is that you WoodyinFrance?

Reasonable advice, Paul, but better not to use the word ‘fixer’ in there. If you don’t want to get flamed that is.

Why? Have I missed something or do the retired there think there’s always a man to fix things

Not at all, just that there are some sensitive people on TF, very ready to jump on somebody who they think is bucking the system. A lot of retired police officers. ‘Fixer’ would definitely be grist to their mill.

Shall we say, ‘more sensitive’ ?

For example, a couple of days ago a newbie, still living in England, enquired about nice places to live in France and happened to mention a bad experience with Gypsies camped nearby.

Talk about red rag to a bull. Someone who calls himself a ■■■■■ :unamused: took great exception despite the fact that he confused Romany language terms and had to google to work out what he was talking about. A big row ensued with others piling in and this morning, on the 5th page, the thread has been locked.

Sorry about the mistake Woodstock, some coincidence though, an ex-driver on TF with the username being so similar to your own, and you recommending the website.

If you want the wrong information ask on Angloinfo ,all the know it alls are there.

Just need things to start getting done, not really interested whether its right or wrong, no other bugger does in France - or should I say most French!!

How are you Spardo? Seems a long time since we met at Limoges.

Very well, thanks Paul. You seem to be still going strong as well.

It is a long time ago, must be about 5 years do you think?

I have all the forms for the licence in france if you want them and your UK cpc is valid your truck counts towards the funds needed to run so you dont have to provide cash or overdraft
Your licence can be from a home address but the truck must be french registered and that can be the expensive bit
