Manston to remain an airport. Oh dear what a shame, what a pity, I am so, so sad. Ann Gloag and the property developers will be crying into their Dom Perignon at this news.

There is still plenty of space for a huge lorry park to the East of the A 2070 at Ashford. Not far from Dover or the Chunnel with excellent access from the M20. Easy to construct all in one go while the J10a works are in progress with the minimum of disruption. But that is the last of the concerns, the land is worth more shekels for housing so that is what will happen instead.
