A telling off from the TC? For 7mph? I highly doubt it
well obviously this all went down hill the day you put the ring on, should have stayed single
Least you was doing 37 not 47 :-') always a + side.

14 days to send NIP to the owner. So your work. They then send it back with your details and I don’t think there is a time scale for your Nip although 6 months statute seems to apply. I got mine within a few days of my boss sending it back though. I’d say you got away with it this time.
Got one myself about 10 years ago, 46 in a 40 dual carriageway by Cosford. Similar situation a temporary moment of distraction whilst adjusting the wife’s ring.
Just got a speed awareness course and a telling off from the wife.
Confession time here. Six or seven years ago (when the HGV speed limit on single carriageways was 40mph) I got snapped by the same (fixed) camera THREE times in a week, at speeds around the 46mph mark. Company (large blue-chip organisation) went into disciplinary mode, although the lady in the office who dealt with such things was good enough to delay returning two of the NIPs, allowing me to get accepted for a speed awareness course for the first one. Still had to take the points and fixed penalties for the other two though. I was seriously bricking it as I had three almost expired points on my licence from a traffic light offence (momentary lapse while bimbling along in my car) some years earlier.
The annoying thing is I wasn’t tearing around on the limiter, just keeping pace with the traffic and trying not to be a mobile chicane (the A5 North of Hinckley is a wide, straight road…). Never again.
On the subject of speeding…i got an email about a speed detector…its from america, and says that it will detect mobile cameras, and fixed for up to a mile away…now i am pretty good with obeying speed limits, especially around/in towns. But i also like gadgets, and this seems an ideal one, and at the right price @ 69 dollars each, or 103 for 2…so guys and gals…is this a good price, and are they really worth buying ? I know they are illegal in some european countries, France is one for sure…what are your thoughts.

The only speed cameras such a device can detect will be using radar. The device operates by detecting the radio transmissions from the speed camera. To the best of my knowledge the camera vans here in UK use laser/optical equipment, and many of the static cameras use passive induction loops or piezo-electric detectors in the road surface, neither of which emit any form of radiation which might be detected (although you might get lucky with a bit of scatter from a laser.
TBH a satnav with up to date speed camera locations will work far better (and if you get one of the TomTom “Live” units, you’ll also get real time warnings of mobile cameras spotted by other satnav users).
Recently changed my old diffuser for this one. Fits behind the grille next to the boost hoses.
No type of laser camera used anywhere will obtain a reading. Expensive but will keep your licence clean…

So will keeping within the limits and a bloody sight cheaper … lol

Heres another one. [minsterfm.com/news/local/24 ... -sentence/](https://www.minsterfm.com/news/local/2419533/video---laser-jammer-receives-suspended-prison-sentence/) 4 months suspended for 2 years. As it
s “Perverting The course Of Justice” it could be arguably applied to any device.
Its marketed as a remote door opener and works on the fully legit licence free 904nm signal, very different to the cheap chinese versions. I suppose yes…pcj is a possibility but your licence will stay clean. Mines professionally hard wired in and hidden, can be switched on/off with an IR remote. Get pulled and they will fire the laser again looking for diffuse, obviously its not going to give a speed reading but the laser doesnt get fired back…
What happens in the real world when using radar blockers: Polisen i Malmö kunde inte mäta hastigheten
Google Translate will help you out, just as Andrew has found it to be invaluable when trying to comprehend spanish
I’ve removed a few posts from this. If you feel you want to have a squabble, then use PM, email, text or even Messenger. Whatever you prefer. Keep the thread on topic.

But that’s not what happened to the BMW driver - as well as being convicted for Perverting the Course of Justice he also got convicted for the speeding offence (with points on his licence).

I usually try and stick to a 30, but I’ve done the same as you mate, inadvertently broke the limit, maybe mistakenly thinking I’m in a 40, doing something similar to you, or simply just bloody daydreaming..
I would just ■■■■ it up tbh, take what comes,.and put it down to experience,… or if the window was shut just learn from it.I have not got a problem with camera vans in a 30 zone, as usually the danger potential is higher in these areas,.and I do see the point.
However what does boil my fluids big style, is when they sit on a trunk d/c, or a m/way where it is relatively safer on the whole to travel at high speed, purely revenue raising.
There is footage of me in many places showing my opinion to them in those cases with various hand gestures.
Good luck with the outcome bud anyway.I only was not paying attention because i was to busy trying to sort my wedding ring out as it was hurting lol.
This is what made me miss the 30 sign, and i did not even realise i was into the town lol.
As said, im clutching at straws and praying it was not on, but if it is i have no complaints, only myself to blame ( and the wife - if i was not married i would not of squashed the ring there forr not gone over 30 lol )
Im same as you rob, agree with them in 30 zones in well populated areas etc, but some are just pointless and plainly making money.
Morale of the story…
Don’t get married!!!
