This bridge is hit so often. If the ariticle is correct it’s been hit 18 times since the beginning of Sept. There is no excuse.

Thats not the same bridge…same road

I reckon there is something iffy with this bridge. I understand it is a busy route, however the sheer amount and frequency of strikes brings me to suspect that the road may have been resurfaced or something.

Unless the standard of truck driving is now completely [zb].

Yep the high cube container should of gone under if the bridge is 14’ 9 as signed. Looks a couple of inches lower

The container hit a 13.9’ bridge , mothercare decker hit a 14.9’ bridge

Well spotted detective Merc!

I think there are two different bridges involved here on the same road. The high cube hit a 13’9er, the Mothercare double decker hit a 14’9er.

Yep , Container is in Tulse Hill “South London” Boots wagon is in Mortlake “West London”

What I find interesting about the container lorry is although the cab is off, the A-frame for the lines is intact, and the container looks to be in a normal position…could the cab not have been locked down properly after a service or breakdown, resulting in the driver face planting the screen? Maybe he hit the brakes before hitting the bridge and the cab flipped and it carried on…till it hit the bridge!

Mmm possibly, but it still doesn’t alter the fact that the container wasn’t meant to fit under that bridge
