I didn’t get the humour but it reminded me to look up an old company. Norman Smith (Congleton) Ltd. I painted some white lines on the new M62 for him

LINE MARKINGS LIMITED is what it says on the truck, and I’d hazard a guess, although I could be wrong, that’s why the OP chose his post title to say; “only so many white lines they can paint in one day!?”
