For me the Mack V8 is the King but a ā ā ā ā ā ā ā is a close second!
Iāve not read it or heard it from a reliable source but apparently the Scania and Mack V8 engines are closely related as in they were a joint project back when it was first built.
The Mack officially had 610 bhp in the Mack Titan before being shelved in the early 2000ās. Most common were the 400 and 500 engines in Australia. All the ones I saw there in 2000 were the original ārolling coalā pumping thick black smoke out!
The Superliner with the E9 V8 was mega popular in Aus, I saw only one Superliner V8 over the road truck in the USA in when I was there in 1999.
Of course we had the AE520 Magnum with them in over here.
