Your only jealous of those spot lamps !

Just let him Videoing them. But always have a check that he stays safe. a 9 Year old could misjudge Safety just by trying to get a better shot

Sorry

Crossplane V8s always sound good, and especially when the pipes are entirely separate which just enhances that classic V8 burble. I used to occasionally drive a friends 164 (450?) he had twin vertical pipes on it. And not that I would ever admit to this, but sometimes when heavy on a long hill, I would switch Vivaldi off, wind down both windows and just listen to it growl. Just beautiful

Although if I had to choose my favourite engine sound, I would have to go for the Deltic, but sadly they don’t fit them in trucks.

There is not much that sounds better than a V8 but this certainly does. If you like bikes listen to it howling down the straight!

Multiples of three usually sound better than four to me whether bikes, cars or trucks. :smiling_imp:

For once Carryfast I completely agree. Maybe this is the one I should have posted.
Had a few triples myself.

Mind you this 250 6 sounds pretty good as well. Watch the reaction of the people when it starts! Bloody noisy in real life!

God in heaven - those bikes sound out of this world! In recent weeks ive been seriously considering buying either the new MV f3 800 or the 2015 Triumph Daytona 675r. (Ive always loved triples, going back to the Tridents & Jotas!) I just cant decide which i love the most. Its like trying to choose between Rachel Riley and Kelly Brook.

Absolutely. Can’t beat a V12 petrol in the air or on the ground.

How about a V12 English Electric diesel, a mere 130 Litres!!

Well for my dream truck I am going for the Napier Diesel 18 cylinder 1750bhp. I want the horn too, if I get some beamer hogging the outside lane at 95 I will blow him off the road lol

this train has two of them fitted, but that might a bit ott

and if anyone does not know what a deltic engine is - wondrous design eliminating the heavy cyclinder head, one of the best power to weight ratios of any engine.

If we’re going to use two strokes you’re going to need the two. There are exceptions which prove the rule of multiples of three. :smiling_imp:

Ah your preaching to the choir now mate!
The Deltic is the holy grail of the compression ignition engine IMO.
Its a little known fact that the the marine version was rated at 3000 HP and down rated for longevity for rail use.
Not bad for just 60 litres.
One of our finest moments of British industry when we actually made stuff. Good stuff!
WTF happened to that.
