Until Mercedes come out with a lorry that doesn’t have a panic attack when it sees an incline bigger than a speed bump it doesn’t matter what size engine they put in, it will still be out pulled by anything that’s got more than 400 horses
i had 2 different 540 actros full auto for 4 years a few years ago and i thought they were perfect bearing in mind that nothings absolutely perfect.
bags of room,plenty of grunt.
whoever was around me when i came off the boat as still around me at carlisle and seldom got overtaken on a hill anywhere in europe.
it cost £1000 to get a lot of guff bypassed including the fitting of a happy button but they were a decent enough donkey to do the job though like everything else every year they just get more cluttered with pre automonous gizmos that do noting but irritate.
i like full auto so mabey im biased but everything is much of a muchness nowadays and its only what particular seat fits your bum best.
so long as its a big 5 stepper with bags of grunt then the world is your lobster nowadays. 
I’ve often thought about this when tightly parked together at a truckstop.
I was late and last in one night at Truckersrest, the lad found me a spot but the passenger door was tight up to the next truck leaving me one point of exit if things went ■■■■ up.
A mate of mine was woke up one night at Wychbold T/s, the truck next to him had took fire and he didn’t know or hear a thing…could have been a dodgy situation for him if he had not been woke up.
