One less audi to cut you up

dailymail.co.uk/news/article … sided.html

Maybe - but the parts that were nicked off it will doubtless be used to keep another car or three on the road for someone who really can’t afford it.

be a few nice cat D audi’s for sale soon then

Why would you leave it there for two weeks, surely you’d get someone out immediately especially with something like that

I think there is more to this than first appears.

Who moved the car to the side of the road?
Why hadn’t police noticed it or been informed?
Steering wheel gone :open_mouth:
stalks on column :open_mouth:
Gear stick :open_mouth:
Carpets :open_mouth:
Bloody roof :open_mouth: :unamused:

Or have I missed something totally obvious

Something more to that than meets the eye.

You can understand a dumped car having easy bolt on bits removed, lights, wheels, bumpers and what not, but to me someones been down there with a petrol powered stihl saw cutting it up. It was probably on finance and they thought the insurance wouldnt pay the finance off if it had been driven through a flood so whoever it was who owned it is probably the guy whos stripped it and theyve tried cutting it up to dispose of it.

Or it was left round the back of a council estate.

(We’ve got estates in Milton Keynes where your wheels would be gone in the time it takes to pick up your morning paper !)

Lakes, Fishermead, Beanhill, Netherfield, Coffee Hall, Fullers Slade & of course the Notorious Greenleys !

Just seen on another forum it was HIAB’d away stripped and then dumped back there, kind of makes sense.

  1. Why drive into the flood?
  2. Why leave it there when it would become an obstruction once the water subsided
  3. Why is there so little left? As already said, some parts are understandable but the roof■■?

the cynic in me says insurance scam. Nobody in their right mind would leave their car like that for so long without a hidden agenda. I hope the insurance company wriggles out of it

Take the pillar trims off and you can then just cut off the roof and you’ve got a headlining to sell that can be removed at leisure. I don’t understand it totally either though, if you’re in the business of stealing car parts why not steal the car and why bother dumping the identifiable/unsaleable parts back where you got them.

Easy come, easy go!.

That’s the bit that gets me, why would you risk getting caught returning what you didn’t use??
