One for the license experts

So I have just renewed my license - thanks for all the help. Especially ROG and Roymondo.

My new license dropped through the post in a mere 5 working days. It is a new style compared to my old one. Just a quickie. I now have a Category A which I never had before because I’m only a young 'un. Comparatively. It has a code 79 (3) restriction next to it.

I looked it up but it’s not exactly clear,is it ever, on the .gov website. I think it means I can legally ride a trike??!!

Any and all clarification welcomed.

Yes you can ride a trike

Category A

You can drive:
motorbikes with a power output more than 35kW or a power to weight ratio more than 0.2kW/kg
motor tricycles with a power output more than 15kW

79 - restricted to vehicles in conformity with the specifications stated in brackets on your licence

the (3) refers to the 3 restrictions I think

Cheers trubster. As I said in the original post, I did check first

But since my license has (3) and not (tri) as .gov says I was asking the question. But you have at least illustrated it in a mildly humorous form.
