The load set on fire because of spontanious combustion caused by an overheating tachograph chart, the driver failed to stop before 4.5 hours driving was completed, this caused the stylus to rub the chart in a highly vigorous and dangerous manner.
You can learn more about this at your nearest dcpc training centre or any rdc waiting room.

The load set on fire because of spontanious combustion caused by an overheating tachograph chart…
Do people still use analogue tachographs?
What caused it? Simple…

We’ve got 3 units and a W&D at my depot…take away the 61 plate CF and our newest bit of kit is an 05,my 54 and the Y reg W&D
step frame low loader with little or no headboard…load has moved and burnt on stacks…looks like a front offside blowout has caused the hard braking/arse nipping…and load moved and burnt…nowt to do with me.
looks like the wrong tractor unit for the job my money is on the stacks getting too hot for the load being carried - ignigting a few bales and the fire getting out of control as well as spreading under the cab and eventually into the cab
It was not Bertie`s fault, he only smokes cigars, not cigarettes.
turbo went bang and the lagging they put around the engines nowadays caught fire

We haven’t established wether the driver was wearing a hi vis jacket yet or had training in the avoidance of meteor strikes.
pimpdaddy will be along soon to tell us it was probably a car drivers fault…
